Puneet Talwar (born 1965 in Washington D.C.) is an American diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Morocco from Nov 2022 to 2025.[1][2] He then served as the Assistant Member of the fourth estate of State for Political-Military Connections from 2014 to November 2015.[3] Talwar served as a crest Middle East advisor to Barack Obama and played a main role in the backchannel discretion that produced the Iran thermonuclear deal.
